Coloured and Decorative Concrete
Something which you cannot get from other types of construction material is the customisability of concrete. Concrete begins life as a wet mix of material, which will later dry into the hard surface that we are familiar with. But whilst it is still wet, there are a number of additions which can be made in the way of aesthetics. Using the quality products available to us, we are able to tailor our service to your requirements. We make use of colouring pigments, various different textural additions and we can print into your concrete, once it has been poured. However you see the space looking best, let us know and see how combined professional construction with quality aesthetics.
Whilst we are still forming the mix of your concrete, at the time when it is wet, we can add in various colour pigments and staining mixes. Plain concrete natural picks up colour very easily, with it not being a particularly bright colour naturally. This means there is very little limitation for what colour you want. If there is a specific pigment that you would like us to add, we will easily be able to make the addition. Once poured and dried, your new concrete surface will have that bright appearance that you are searching for. Call us today to discuss your options.
Both an aesthetic and functional choice to make for your concrete surface is the addition of a polished coat on completion. When concrete dries and hardens, it becomes the appearance that we are familiar with, grey and fairly smooth. However, if you are looking to make improvements on both, polishing could be the method for you. We will lather on layers of our polish coating, filling every inch of space and all inconsistencies. This makes the surface far more resistant to moisture damage, staining and picking up dirt, whilst also being much easier to clean. In more modern times however, many property designers have started to look at polished concrete as a real aesthetic choice, especially when lead by a team that you know you can trust to provide the best results.
When poured concrete is still wet, it is still very malleable and therefore easily molded. This can be beneficial for one particular type of aesthetic finish that you can choose. We have the necessary tools to form printed concrete, otherwise known as stamped concrete. Our meticulous design team will make imprints and define markings and patterns, so to produce an attractive finish following drying. We have the ability to create any design or texture that you want, from stone finishes to a wood-like appearance.
If you don’t see your texture being created with our concrete stamping, perhaps you would be better off adding a physical texture. Using styles such as exposed aggregate will add plenty of texture to your concrete surface and when used effectively, can be a superior aesthetic choice. We have various options for a pebblecrete finish so do not hesitate to enquire about the additions we can customise for you.
